Local Interest
Including the Inn's staff, Triscombe is home to only a handful of resident humans. They are far outnumbered by the local pheasants (aloof, road hogging pheasants!) but our location more than makes up for their lack of social skills! We're sat right on the foot of the Quantock Hills (England's first designated area of outstanding natural beauty) with views to die for but if scenic walks and more picture perfect hotspots than you could shake a zoom lense at aren't your cup of tea the area is packed with attractions that are well worth a visit. We are only a short drive from Taunton Castle, Hestercombe Gardens, the Brewhouse Theatre and West Somerset Railway - where steam is still trendy. Slightly further afield but still under an hour away is Exmoor National Park and Exmouth Cliffs - a World Heritage Site dubbed "the Jurassic Coast" and there is plenty to keep a child's mind occupied at Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Tropiquaria and Cheddar Gorge. Stonehenge is under two hours away.
